Grindstone and Alto Lake Recreation Areas are open to the public for day use under New Mexico social distancing public health orders. Mass gatherings of 5 or more individuals are still prohibited. In open outdoor space, individuals need to practice social distancing, remain six feet from each other, wear face coverings and maintain proper hand sanitization.
Boating is allowed year-round. All vessels require a permit, the term "vessel" means and includes boats, hand-propelled boats, sailboats, paddle boats, paddle boards and every description of watercraft used or capable of being used as a means of transportation on water. Electric motors allowed only at Grindstone Lake.
Boat Permits:Day Pass= $5 | Annual Pass= $20 (calendar year)
