GRINDSTONE CAMPGROUND HOST INFORMATION
As a campground host, you serve as a live-in ambassador for our Campground. Campground Hosts set an example by being model campers, practicing good housekeeping and obeying all rules and regulations.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT HOSTING
You will perform, a public relations role in the campground by answering questions about camping, park facilities, park programs, park rules, and nearby points of interest.
You will perform light work tasks in the campground such as litter pickup, stocking/cleaning of restroom supplies and report needed repairs.
Orient registrants to the camp rental program, teaching the safe use of the equipment and orienting them to camping in the park.
Present litter awareness programs as assigned.
Assist staff in performing their respective duties in the campground as assigned.
Volunteer hosts make a minimum commitment of 60 days for a specific host assignment. The length of a host assignment can range from 60 - 180 days.
Be at least 18 years old.
Pass an annual criminal background check.
Pass an annual driver’s records check.
Have a self-contained recreational vehicle.
HOW TO BECOME A HOST
Complete and submit a volunteer application. Each person hosting must fill out a separate application.

CAMPGROUND HOST DUTIES
Specific host assignment schedule requirements will be discussed during the volunteer interview process.
Campground Hosts are required to provide 40 hours of volunteer work per week. (Cumulative)
To be on duty and therefore available to park visitors five to seven days per week, including weekends and holidays.
To comply with VILLAGE rules and regulations unless officially exempted.
To provide their own camping gear and personal items and to set an example as a model camper practicing good housekeeping and being courteous and helpful to the public.
To wear uniform hat/visor and nametag when completing assigned tasks and when acting in a public relations capacity of the VILLAGE.
While acting as an authorized volunteer you will receive full electrical, water, and sewer hookups for your recreational vehicle.
After completing 48 hours of volunteer work you will be eligible to receive an annual boat permit and Seasonal Waterpark/Pool pass.
