The Village of Ruidoso Parks & Recreation Department invites the community to participate in the 2026 Easter Bunny Run on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Cedar Creek Trails. This annual spring tradition and part of the Run Ruidoso 2026 race series brings together runners and walkers of all ages for a festive 7:00 AM start through the scenic mountain trails.
The event begins and ends at the Cedar Creek Campground Parking Lot. In-person registration and check-in open at 5:45 AM, and participants are encouraged to register online in advance. The registration fee is $25 per person.
Designed as a fun, family-friendly way to celebrate Easter weekend, the Easter Bunny Run encourages healthy activity, community connection, and time outdoors in Ruidoso’s beautiful forest setting. The first 50 participants to check in will have a chance to receive a complimentary event T-shirt, and the first 70 finishers will earn a participation medal (shirt sizes not guaranteed).
Whether you’re running for time or walking for fun, the Easter Bunny Run is a festive way to welcome spring and enjoy the outdoors with friends, family, and neighbors.
Directions: Turn onto Cedar Creek Road (Forest Road 88), which is immediately adjacent to the north of the Smokey Bear Ranger Station on Mechem Drive (Hwy 48).
